This has been the worst times for Nigerians all over the country, having to deal with the ridiculous change recession has brought to us. The best way to live and actually cope with this sorry excuse called recession is to know the cheapest ways to get by without feeling every bit of .

These few tips would help:

  1. Limit Spending To Things You Need

Recession has been a nightmare but it is what it is, there’s really nothing we can single-handedly do to change that fact no matter how hard we try, the wise thing to do for the sake of your humble bank account is limit your spending from every thing you like and find attractive, to only the things you really need. We  buy stuff we end up not using as long as we expected and that makes for a huge waste.

2. Avoid Impulsive Buys

You can’t be complaining about the prices of things and still be spending money on things you never planned on buying. If you really want to be less affected by this recession, you have to let go of your impulsive buyings.

3. Cook More

First of all, you don’t get enough value for your money when you buy food, at least not with the current price of rice and food stuff. Cooking more and eating home-made meals is one of the best things you will do for this recession matter because no matter the condition of the day, you have to eat.

4. Take Advantage Of Sales Not High End Designers

Of course, looking good is important, recession shouldn’t have to affect how you look in the real sense, this is because you don’t necessarily have to patronise the high-end fashion brands to look fashionable and classy. Look out for sales from your favorite cloth stores or boutiques, those are times when prices of things are highly discounted. Meanwhile, you can always  do without some designer products with ridiculous prices.

5. Budget

Having a specific budget has been proven to work most of the times, when followed accordingly. Set a budget for the things you are going to be doing with your money monthly or even weekly so you don’t find yourself spending more than you can afford within a short time.

Things can work well for you even in this messed up recession if you do the needful and stay away from unnecessary buys.
