IK OGBONNA: I grew up in a humble,strict,religious home in Jos. Since that time, my determination,stubbornness and creative mind always made me stand out. No matter the consequences I would always do things my way,which put me in trouble a number of times but I guess that helped me later on in life to get where I am today.IPN: Would you say you are satisfied with the way your career is going now?
IK OGBONNA: Every day of my life I am endlessly grateful for all the blessings and prosperities that came my way. In less than a year I participated in more than 50 movies,got some few endorsements,found myself in a role of a director and tv host,won many awards and nominations including AMVCA and this is just a beginning by His grace.IPN: What do you spend your money on?
IK OGBONNA: I invest. And yea I work for my family.
IPN: Who do you love more, your parents or your spouse?
IK OGBONNA: Love is not competitive. They both had and still have a major impact on me becoming a man today. My parents gave me life and a basic points of view when it comes to life. On the other hand ,my wife is my soulmate,my best friend and human being that have always been there for me,through thick and thin. She taught me a lot about life.
IPN: Talking about your spouse, how is the family life now that you are a married ?
IK OGBONNA: My wife is my good luck charm. Since she entered my life I only see prosperity and big doors started opening for me. I take pride in fact that I am married and loyal to my woman for life. The day I set my eyes on her I knew she was the one,so marriage didn’t change anything,I already knew she was that person I been looking for all my life and I was acting according to it.
IPN: As a gentleman, you meet a lot of female fans, what has been the most embarrassing moment with a female fan?
IK OGBONNA: I don’t put myself in a situation that could be possibly embarrassing. It’s always about respect and love.
IPN: What do you do for relaxation?
IK OGBONNA: Since I seriously lack free time, there is no better relaxation than spending time with my family. Nice food, some drinks, a lot of joy, fun, gists, smiles, love and laughs. And soccer yes. Can’t do without soccer.
IPN: Asides acting we know you are into other things; can you tell us about them?
IK OGBONNA: This year I found myself several times in a role of a movie director and a TV / event host. I love challenges so experiencing new things never seem like a bad idea to me. Then ,I’m involved in some projects and businesses that have nothing to do with entertainment industry.
IPN: Who would you shag, marry or kill; (A) Seyi Shay (B) Yemi Alade (C) Chidinma
IK OGBONNA: A) Wait, sorry guys, I’m already married and I’m all about monogamy lol b) I’m also extremely faithful c) if God gives life, who am I to try and take it? Lol
IPN: With all the other amazing Actors in Nigeria, how do you rate yourself amongst competition?
IK OGBONNA: As a nation,we are truly blessed with so many talented souls. We have great people in this our industry. But the truth is, I only compete with 3 persons: me, myself and I. I always work on myself by trying to become better than I was yesterday.
IPN: Has fatherhood changed you in any way?
IK OGBONNA: What is new to me and what I am expecting for the first time of my life is the fact that I have a complete family built on love,understanding, support,
IPN: Does your spouse influence the kind of movie roles you take now?
IK OGBONNA: My wife is the most supportive person in my life but also my biggest critic. She likes when I take my time with challenging roles,different roles where I can present very different aspects of my talent and experience as an actor.
IPN: What has been your greatest challenge as an actor?
IK OGBONNA: To break out the stigma society attaches to me based on my physical appearance with nothing but my hard work and dedication.
IK OGBONNA: Having my own legacy.
IK OGBONNA: Free Education on every level in Federal Republic of Nigeria. Education can’t be a luxury,not in 21st century. Ignorance way more dangerous than people know.IPN: Who are your top 3 artistes right now, from 1 to 3?
