The Weekend is always the most anticipated time of the week for the most of us, finally being able to sleep in and toss the alarm far from our ears, wake up when we feel like it and just be all about ourselves as much as we want.
There’s always a lot of time and no time at all on Weekends, it starts and just when we are about to get in the mood and take our time, it slides into Sunday evening and that’s just a few hours away from the great Monday. But we won’t be feeling like we never do anything different or fun on Weekends if we know just what to do different.
Here you go:
Spend Time With Your Real Friends
It’s funny how we grow apart from some of the people we had our best moments with, the ones that made us feel alive at some point in our lives. Maybe the reason we feel alone sometimes is because our hearts yearn for our real friends. They might be far away, but unless you live in a rock; you’ll know there are more than enough ways to get through to people from anywhere. Facetime, whatever; just spend time with your real friends. Catch up, those laughs you’ve missed, get them back.
Go Someplace Nice
Alone or with the squad, step out of that shell that disguises as a house and feed your eyes with new, beautiful views and experiences. Weekends are for getaways, in whatever way you want to define it.
For those that have moved out and are living the full-time adult life, you can’t stay away from your family for a long time and refuse to be bothered. Make the trip home if it’s something you can do, call and reassure them that you are still a part of the family if not. Spend give your time to the ones that deserve it and need it the most.
Talk To An Old Friend
It’s still a life where we are best friends with certain people at a phase and a few years later, they become just another person in our past. You know about your friendships, some of those friends might be itching for the day they’ll hear their phone ring and it would be you. Or maybe a step further, how about their door sounds and it is you? Get in touch, if it’s a dead relationship, you’ll feel better knowing you reached out again.
Just a few meaningful things you can dedicate your weekend to, instead of the regular loud music and movies and pizza and all that fun with new bunch of people that probably don’t give the nearest shit about you.
